Type the number, then tap Feet or Inch. So 7, Feet, 6, Inch is 7 6". For a fraction, type the numerator, /, then the denominator: 3, /, 8 after an inch value gives 3/8". The backspace key removes one keystroke, not the whole entry.
That is the fraction resolution, and it is doing its job. Results are shown rounded to the resolution you set, and the chip at the top of the ledger shows which, from 1/2 to 1/64. When a shown value has been rounded, the app marks it, and the exact value is one tap away. Change the resolution and the same calculation reads to a finer fraction.
Yes, and that is the point of the ledger. Tap the entry, change the number, and it recomputes, along with any total that included it. Nothing is retyped.
Tap Total a run and select the entries. The total appears as its own entry, which you can label like any other.
The whole feet-inch calculator and the whole ledger, permanently. It is not a trial, there is no session cap, and there is no wall when you open the app.
The solvers, which are stairs, rafters, pitch and angle, right triangle and diagonal, on-center layout, concrete, and area and volume. It also opens the job layer, which saves a ledger under a job name to open again later. One payment. Nothing renews.
Tap Restore purchases on the unlock screen. That asks the App Store what the Apple ID signed in on this phone already holds, and it charges nothing. The unlock is permanent and returns on any iPhone signed in to the same Apple ID. If restore still finds nothing, check you are signed in to the Apple ID that made the purchase, then write to us with the date.
On iOS 18 and later, long-press the Lock Screen or open Control Center, tap the control that adds one, and pick Birdsmouth. It opens the app and does nothing else.
They stay on the old one. There is no sync and no account, which is the trade-off for nothing being taken away from you. The unlock does move: sign in to the same Apple ID and tap Restore purchases.
Version 1 is built for framing, deliberately. That is the trade whose daily work is feet-inch arithmetic, and stairs and rafters are the calculations most often got wrong. Concrete volume is there. If you are in another trade and want more, write and say which calculation, and it counts.
Stair results are checked against the code profile you select, and each cites the section it was checked against. That is a check, not a substitute for the code in force on your job, for an engineer's design, or for the inspector who signs it off. Verify before you cut.
